This tender story reminds children that difficult feelings, hard experiences, and life’s challenges are all part of growing, healing, and becoming whole. With warmth and hope, it reassures young readers that no feeling is wrong, no struggle is wasted, and even the hardest moments can help shape something beautiful.

Every Color Belongs

I wrote Every Color Belongs because I believe children need gentle, honest stories that help them understand the many feelings and experiences that shape their lives. Joy is easy to celebrate, but fear, sadness, uncertainty, disappointment, and change can be harder for a child to name, carry, and understand. I wanted to create a story that reminds young readers that every feeling has a place, and that even the difficult moments in life can become part of something meaningful and beautiful.

As a father, I have always wanted my children to know that they are not defined only by their happiest days or easiest seasons. They are shaped by all of it — the bright colors, the quiet colors, and even the colors that feel heavy at first. My hope is that this book helps children and families talk about life’s challenges with more courage, tenderness, and hope, while reminding every child that they are seen, valued, and beautifully made to shine.
